It all started with Nemo.

A small Malaysian cat care brand, one very opinionated calico, and the tools we wished we'd had from day one.

WHY "PURRTTIE"?

We named the brand after the cat we want every cat to be after care time: looking pretty, and a lot more purry than they went in.

Meet Nemo

Sweet at home. Spicy everywhere else.

Nemo is Zoey's cat, and the sweetest one at home. She follows Zoey from room to room and purrs like a little engine when she naps beside her.

Take her somewhere unfamiliar and she's a completely different cat. At the vet and the groomer she hisses, hides and wants nothing to do with any of it. Even the vets look a little nervous.

She isn't difficult. She's scared. When she doesn't know what's happening, she panics.

Zoey went looking for something to make care easier for her, and couldn't find much in Malaysia. Watching her worry about it, her boyfriend Yan Bin decided to make it himself. That's how Purrttie started.

WHY WE STARTED

It wasn't just Nemo.

When we started talking to other cat parents, the same thing kept coming up. Nail trims get put off. Brushing gets pushed to next week. Ear drops become a two-person job, and everyone feels a bit guilty about it.

Not because we don't care. Because a five-minute job turns into a lot of wriggling and a cat who's vanished under the bed.
